FIKA: PARTY TIME

A reliable source (a customer who’s friend read something on the internet) told me that La Nina is departing earlier than expected. Slinking away from the party like a trollied wedding guest who just embarrassed themselves on the dance floor. We look forward to seeing the back of you Ms Nina.

In celebration of this potential future win, let’s party.

EAT

Party food. And not canapés, vol au vents, or even smoked salmon, cream cheese and dill on Melba toast. They have their place, but at this party. We’re making party pies, sausage rolls (and veggie rolls), and lamingtons.

DRINK

Party drink. I recommend getting High on Tonic. It’s on the list of drinks you’ll make in the coffee cocktail course, which is by far the jolliest coffee class of them all. Book in the frivolity here

DO

Party games. Australian games publisher Joey Games are set to release Pass The Party Food later in the year. It’s nostalgic, beautifully designed, and a good time.

LISTEN

To a party playlist that sounds like it was curated by your uber cool older cousins who always knew the coolest obscure musicians you’d never heard of before, but also appreciated the artistic fortitude of Britney Spears and Lady Gaga. This idea is pretty on the money, except for instead of being your older cousins, they’re two young lasses who make a couple of banging playlists, updated regularly. Great for a party, great for being cool

Hit play on Monday Dance 3
