How to make instant coffee

Step 1: Measure your coffee
Put your kettle on to boil and measure your coffee into your mug. Use 1 small heaped teaspoon (equivalent to 5ml), or follow measurement directions on the coffee packaging.Step 2: Dissolve in cold water
Add a small amount of cold water, just enough to begin dissolving the coffee. This an optional step but it often gives the coffee an overall smoother taste.Step 3: Add boiled water
Pour in the boiled water we prepared in Step 1. Due to the processing methods used to make instant coffee, the flavour profile is already developed, so water temperature in this circumstance is not heavily significant to your end product.Step 4: Add milk and sugar
You can stop at Step 3 if you prefer your coffee black. If not, add small amounts of milk and sugar to taste. Adding milk and sugar in small increments will allow you to adjust the flavour more easily. More sugar or milk can always be added but once there is too much of either there is no going back. And there you have it. You’ve successfully made an instant coffee ready to drink ready to accidentally spill in your car, as you rush off to start your day!
